On August 28, 2024, Shenzhen Polytechnic University(SZPU)participated in the second session of UNESCO-UNEVOC’s “Entrepreneurship, Digitalization, Greening, and Equity” online learning lab series. This symposium was part of UNESCO-UNEVOC’s 2024-2026 mid-term strategy, which aimed to foster innovative practices in technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institutions worldwide. The series comprised four webinars, each focusing on key themes such as digital entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, and green entrepreneurship, drawing the attention of educators, practitioners, and innovators from across the globe.
During the second session, Dr. ZENG Xiuzhen, from SZPU, delivered a presentation titled "Exploring the Linkage and Interaction of Resources within the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem during Digital Transformation of Entrepreneurship Education in TVET". Dr. Zeng shared insights from SZPU’s practical experiences in digital entrepreneurship and highlighted her recently published research findings on integrating resources within the entrepreneurial ecosystem to enhance innovation in TVET entrepreneurship education.
The session was moderated by Professor Johannes Lindner, an expert in entrepreneurship education from the University of Vienna and Krems. He led an in-depth discussion with the speakers on critical issues in entrepreneurship education, followed by a 45-minute interactive session where attendees exchanged views on promoting and implementing entrepreneurship education effectively in TVET institutions. Other notable speakers included Mr. Thomas Lee from Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore, who discussed the use of generative AI to enhance innovation and entrepreneurial experiences, and Ms. Sally Gregersen from Lulu Lab, Denmark, who explored co-designing educational games to engage learners in entrepreneurial learning.
The “Entrepreneurship, Digitalization, Greening, and Equity” symposium series successfully concluded on September 11, 2024, with the final session focusing on empowering social innovation through entrepreneurship. This series has provided valuable knowledge and practical tools, strengthening cooperation among global TVET institutions and paving the way for continued innovation in entrepreneurial education.
