Course Introduction:Application of Intelligent and Connected Vehicle Technology

Course Overview:

This course is designed to introduce students to the basic concepts, system architecture, and technological applications related to intelligent and connected vehicles (ICVs). It covers a wide range of topics, including:

  • Operating systems for vehicle systems

  • Sensor applications in vehicles

  • Positioning and navigation technologies

  • Communication technologies in connected vehicles

  • ROS-based software development

The course focuses on both theory and practical application, with a strong emphasis on the working principles and practical applications of in-vehicle sensors. Students will learn about key technologies such as:

  • Path planning and decision-making

  • Automotive bus and network technology:

  • Vehicle communication technology

The practical components of the course include:

  • Basic operation of computing platforms and operating systems

  • Sensor calibration and data acquisition

  • Road environment perception and SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) technology

  • Multi-point navigation and more

By combining theoretical learning with hands-on practice, the course aims to:

  • Help students deeply understand the principles, technologies, and applications of intelligent connected vehicles.

  • Enhance practical operation abilities in areas such as vehicle hardware assembly, system maintenance, and software development.

Students will gain the necessary skills to work with smart vehicle systems, from hardware setup to complex vehicle software development.
