Call for Applications: TVET Leadership Workshop on Digital Transformation 2026 at Shenzhen Polytechnic University, China

The UNESCO Chair on Digitalization in TVET at Shenzhen Polytechnic University cordially invites applications to participate in the TVET Leadership Workshop on Digital Transformation 2026, to be held on 10–11 December 2026 in Shenzhen, China.

The workshop will be held in conjunction with the Global Forum on Digital Transformation in TVET (Shenzhen) 2026 on 8–9 December 2026. Successful applicants will participate in both events. The Forum will provide a platform for international exchange on emerging issues, policy responses and institutional practices related to digital transformation in TVET, while the Workshop will focus on strengthening participantscapacity to plan and advance this transformation.

Event features:

  • International dialogue and exchange: Engage with TVET policy-makers, institutional leaders, educators, researchers and industry partners to discuss changing skills needs, AI and digital innovation, TVET–industry collaboration, and skills development for the digital and green transitions.

  • Interactive workshop: Build leadership and implementation capacity through hands-on modules covering strategic planning for digital transformation, development of AI-related programmes and curricula, industry collaboration in the new energy vehicle sector, and teaching and practical training in advanced manufacturing.

  • Networking opportunities: Connect with TVET stakeholders from different countries during programme sessions and field visits to exchange insights and foster partnerships.

Target participants:

Target participants include:

  • Institutional leaders and senior managers responsible for digital transformation, institutional development or innovation in TVET and higher technical education institutions;

  • Policy-makers and mid- to-senior-level officers from national or regional TVET authorities responsible for digital education, skills development or institutional development;

  • Programme directors, curriculum leads and heads of training units responsible for programme development, implementation and improvement.

Representatives of UNEVOC Centres are especially encouraged to apply.

Sponsorship:

The UNESCO Chair on Digitalization in TVET at Shenzhen Polytechnic University will sponsor 30 successful applicants, covering round-trip international economy-class airfare, local accommodation and meals during the events in Shenzhen.

Please note:

  • Sponsorship is contingent upon full attendance at both the Global Forum and the Leadership Workshop. Partial attendance will not be supported.

  • Participants are responsible for visa application fees, travel insurance, local transportation and other personal expenses.
