Burayu Polytechnic College, established in 1979 with support from UNESCO and SIDA as Burayu Basic Technology Center, has undergone significant transformations over the years. It became Burayu TVET Institution in 2005, then Burayu TVET College in 2016, and was renamed Burayu Polytechnic College in 2021. These changes reflect the college's commitment to adapting to the evolving demands of technical education and aligning with industry needs.
