Burayu Polytechnic College, established in 1979 with support from UNESCO and SIDA as Burayu Basic Technology Center, has undergone significant transformations over the years. It became Burayu TVET Institution in 2005, then Burayu TVET College in 2016, and was renamed Burayu Polytechnic College in 2021. These changes reflect the college's commitment to adapting to the evolving demands of technical education and aligning with industry needs. Located in Burayu, Oromia, Ethiopia, the college provides a conducive learning environment.

The college's mission is to produce a competent, innovative workforce that meets industrial demands, creates local job opportunities, and supports small enterprises. Guided by values of integrity, flexibility, and market orientation, Burayu Polytechnic aims to become a leading institution by 2022.

Offering diverse technical programs like Automotive Technology, Building Construction, Garment Technology, and Industrial Technology, Burayu Polytechnic College serves a broad range of students. Training is provided through regular, extension, and weekend courses, alongside short-term programs to address immediate skill needs. With an intake of around 3,108 trainees, the college continues to expand its impact and relevance.
